3. Attending Your First Session

 You have the flexibility to choose the environment where you feel most comfortable, and will receive SMS and/or email reminders before every appointment:

Virtual Sessions:

  • Attend from the comfort of your home via video call.

  • You will receive your private link 30 minutes before your session begins.

In-Person Sessions:

Visit our private, discreet space in the heart of Richmond Hill. Ample free on-site parking is available and just steps from the Yonge St / Ashfield Drive stop (VIVA and YRT).

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a doctor’s referral to start?

No, a formal referral is not required to book a session at Dawn Therapy. However, if you are using workplace insurance, please check if your specific policy requires a referral for reimbursement.

What if I don't feel like my therapist is the right match?

The therapeutic alliance is the most important factor in healing. If you feel your matched therapist isn't the right fit after your first session, simply let our team know. We will help you transition to another specialist no questions asked.​

What if I don't have insurance or coverage?

We offer an Affordable Care Program with reduced rates for those without insurance coverage or those facing financial hardship. Please mention this during your consultation so we can find a plan that works for your budget.

Do you offer services in languages other than English?

Yes. As part of our commitment to the diaspora community, we have clinicians who speak multiple languages and offer professional interpreter services when needed. Please mention this during your consultation.
